In 1807, Walnut Township was erected from the northern part of Pleasant Township. Its name came from Walnut Creek.

Over 200 years later, Walnut Township employees are here to serve you. The mission of the Township Board of Trustees and Staff is to deliver services in an effective manner which improve the quality of life for the residents and businesses in the township, enhance property values and to create a sense of community.
